Alternatively we have themed painting sessions. These are suitable for all key stages, and are great if teacher’s wish to tie in the current projects that students are working on in class. A great example is a school we visited who were studying “Ancient Greece”. The school chose vases, which we decorated in class using different tools and patterns, to replicate the beautiful patterns on Greek vases. This is a fantastic way to add a creative twist to different school topics, and has proven to be a very popular way of integrating art into lessons.
Our prices range from £10 – £15 per child this of course depends on the size of the item and its detail. We bring all the materials on the day, all that we need is water for cleaning brushes.
If you are interested in Little Harts visiting your class to create something special, please contact us, we will be more than happy to discuss packages and pottery choices with you.
Please note all staff are DBS Checked and have certificates on request.
We run workshops at local schools and nurseries and regularly have the opportunity to go in to schools around Cheshire and Staffordshire to work with pupils from a range of ages.
We offer tailored sessions that are specifically designed for different key stages. For younger years there is Read and Paint. This unique experience allows the children to use their creativity and develop their painting skills. We choose a book that the children will be familiar with or even studying in class. We then come in to class and read the book together, encouraging the children to participate as we read. Our team will help the pupils as we paint a piece of bisque that relates to the chosen book.
For example “The Gruffalo”, if this was the book we were reading we may select a Gruffalo inspired figurine or possibly the “Mouse” character. As an added feature when painting the pottery we place pictures of the chosen designs on the tables so that during the painting process the students have source of inspiration to base their design on.
